I am a Carleton University student enrolled in the bachelor of journalism program. In my third year I've finally mustered up the courage to put myself out there. Quickly, I am learning to embrace the uncomfortable and would love an opportunity to showcase my skills. 

Throughout my years at Carleton my love for journalism has grown but it did NOT start out that way. I applied to journalism with the intention of attending DeGroote School of Medicine after my bachelors. Since then, my aspirations have done a 'one-eighty' and I've fallen head over heels for multi-media production.

A career in journalism always felt unstable and out of reach but with each and every story my perspective evolved. Journalism is not unstable, it is portable and while a career is out of reach for now, it will not be once I have earned my degree. While I do not have much experience in the industry, I carry the traits of a ridiculously hard-working student. The constant bustle, perseverance and all the stress that comes with creating a story is what fuels my love for journalism.
